in-tangible institute’s second Moving the Image event, “Conversaciones, การสนทนา, ဆွေးနွေးပွဲ, Conversations”, comprises 12 non-fiction short films from across the Global South, engaging with topics of migration and labor rights through the lenses of exploitation and resistance. 

This event begins with two days of public screenings at Light Bulb, accompanied by introductions from the event’s programmer and in-tangible Creative in Residence, A. Paolo Diaz Andrade. Following these public screenings, in-tangible will host a moderated discussion with Paolo, the in-tangible team, and selected filmmakers and artists from the program. Attendees can sign up for limited discussion seating at screenings.  

These spaces seek to foster an intercultural and constructive dialogue, connecting South America and Southeast Asia and drawing attention to how our similarities and dissimilarities may enrich our understanding of complex realities. Through this event we hope to explore the ways film can function as both a liberating and an exploitative medium.
